OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD

Objectives

The Foundation of Ateneo Management Engineers, Inc. (FAME) pays homage to its distinguished alumni, by bestowing the Outstanding Alumni Award (OAA Award, or simply the Award, for short), to recognize their substantive contribution to advancing their respective profession or enterprise, and/or ameliorating the common good. The recognition will be awarded from time to time, as determined by the duly constituted Selection Committee, based on recommendations by members, subject to validation and evaluation of the designated Screening Committee.

Criteria for Selection

The basic criterion for the Outstanding Alumni Award is:  Excellence and capability in the exercise of profession, conduct of business or extent, benefit and impact of social endeavor or enterprise.

The indicators to be evaluated include among others, the following:

  1. Attribution of concept, design, strategy or program, resulting in turnaround and/or sustained growth of a project or enterprise;
  2. Superior execution, consistently exceeding established benchmarks and norms, and raising the bar by which performance is measured in their particular context and field of endeavor;
  3. Impeccable leadership steering an organization over an extended period of time, adapting to the vagaries of an ever changing operating environment, while advancing its goals and objectives and materially improving its members lot.
  4. Being a change agent in a manner that transforms mindsets and processes, fundamentally, permanently and for the better;
  5. Being a “Man for Others”, eschewing material rewards and public accolade, ameliorating the lives of countless many, especially among the marginalized segments of society, notably the poor and the downtrodden, discriminated minorities and indigenous peoples and social outcasts, in the pursuit of social justice and equal opportunities for all Filipinos.
